Rotortalk 2019, a two-day helicopter industry conference to be conducted as part of Avalon 2019, will feature an update on Victoria's night helicopter firebombing capability trial, an Australian first.
Experienced firebombing operators Coulson Aircrane and Kestrel Aviation have participated in a night fire suppression trial on real fires across the current fire season.
Now Wayne Rigg, from the Victorian Country Fire Authority's Aviation Capability & Innovation branch, will update on lessons learned during the trials.
He will then join a Q&A panel with Ray Cronin of Kestrel Aviation and Hayden Biggs of Coulson Aircrane to discuss the trial's technologies and procedures and answer delegate questions.
This is a must-see session, with comment from and direct interaction with the operators and CFA authority at the heart of this new breakthrough in Australian bushfire operations.
The Australian Helicopter Industry Association (AHIA) and Aerospace Australia Limited, the conveners of Avalon 2019, have joined forces to present the Rotortalk 2019 conference at Avalon 2019, providing a forum for discussion of the major issues facing the Australian helicopter industry. Rotortalk 2019 will include information sessions from helicopter manufacturers and an update on major regulatory and safety issues.
This event is open and complimentary to Avalon 2019 trade visitors, exhibitors and conference delegates.
