December 9, 2009
International Communications Group (ICG) has received approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for its in-house Repair Station in Newport News, Virginia. The official Air Agency certificate was issued by EASA for a Part 145 Approval on November 13. ICG had previously received certification by the FAA Flight Standards District Office in Richmond, Virginia on September 15, 2008.
"This certification means that the ICG repair facility can now issue a dual certificate (FAA and EASA) with repair and return to service for ICG products that are covered under our Part Manufacturing Authorization (PMA). Repair Station certification and the ability to provide return to service tags is an absolute requirement these days and is becoming a mandated by the regulatory agencies for manufacturers providing products for the aeronautical industry," said John Ferguson, Vice President of Quality and Certifications.
