Lufthansa Flight Training unveils Mechtronix FFS X™

Lufthansa Flight Training (LFT) and Mechtronix unveil the latest in simulation technology at Berlin-Schoenefeld facility together with representatives of many airlines, training centers and media at a ceremony hosted by Mr. Florian Hamm and Mr. Xavier Hervé, respectively CEO of LFT and President of Mechtronix. The Boeing 737NG FFS X™ supplied by Mechtronix, the Montreal-based flight training device manufacturer, successfully underwent qualification under JAR STD 1A FFS level B on April 18th 2007.

The NZFT™ provides a pilot with 100% of recurrent training which includes all checking and training requirements.  In addition to meeting 100% of recurrent training requirements, the NZFT™ was qualified to perform all initial and transition type rating tasks except the final Take-off and Landing checking; resulting in a new business model for the training industry.

LFT's purchase of the FFS X™ was triggered by the wish to offer a broader variety of flight simulation devices to customers like TUIfly, formerly known as Hapagfly. TUIfly is a key account on the Boeing 737NG simulator and was seeking to optimize its training costs by bringing the training closer to its operational base.  Mechtronix' FFS X™ NZFT™ was the solution LFT decided to pursue because it offered lower costs, flexibility, and met the company's strict conditions for training. In addition to the costs savings, LFT enables TUIfly to train closer to its base of operations.

"Mechtronix' FFS X™ has proven to be of high quality and reliability. The underlying technology and the price range for such a high quality product convinced us", said Floriam Hamm, CEO of Lufthansa Flight Training. "We are very satisfied with our purchase and would definitely consider Mechtronix again on another project."

"We are extremely happy and honored to collaborate with major industry player Lufthansa Flight Training," said Mechtronix Systems' President Mr. Xavier Herve. "This purchase demonstrates the need that third party training centers and airlines have for Mechtronix' FFS X™. We look forward to a strong relationship with them that will make truly innovative flight training equipment available to LFT 's broad range of customers."
