DART Helicopter Services is pleased to announce that their affiliated partner, DART Aerospace Ltd., has received Transport Canada, FAA, EASA and Brazilian approval of their Automatic Lid Opener for the Heli-Utility-Basket™ for the AS 350/AS 355 aircraft.

The DART Automatic Lid Opener Kit upgrades any DART Heli-Utility-Basket by removing the original prop arm and replacing it with a sturdy stainless steel gas spring.

The gas spring mounts to the end of the basket and assists in opening and closing of the lid as well as holding it in the open position. When in the closed position, the gas spring keeps the lid down. In contrast to a prop arm, the gas spring does not require the operator to manually release a lock in order to close the basket.
