RUAG Aerospace now also operating on the Stuttgart airport

"Serviced by RUAG" is now also a motto in Stuttgart. With the certification by the Luftfahrtbundesamt in January 2007 the Aircraft Services Network (ASN) of RUAG Aerospace was extended by the Stuttgart service station.

Over an area of 900m 2 in the maintenance hangar at the General Aviation Terminal of the Stuttgart airport, line and base maintenance activities for nearly all Cessna Citation aircraft types have been accomplished since the beginning of this year.

Against the background of an increasing number of Cessna Citation business jets in the South German region as well as a large number of operators on the Stuttgart airport, RUAG Aerospace, with the foundation of this Service Station, also contributes substantially to implement Cessna's customer support strategy of establishing maintenance sites near the customers.

This Service Station in Stuttgart extends the newly developed Aircraft Services Network (ASN) of RUAG Aerospace with its locations in Emmen, Bern, Lugano, Zurich and Geneva to a total of six stations.

The 6-person team in Stuttgart closely cooperates with the Authorized Cessna Citation Service Center of RUAG Aerospace in Oberpfaffenhofen, which was founded by Dornier in 1974 and takes a leading position in Cessna's maintenance area in Europe. More than 300 Cessna maintenance orders were processed last year solely in Oberpfaffenhofen, with a continual upward tendency.

With the opening of the RUAG Aircraft Services maintenance site in Stuttgart, the Swiss aviation company further extends its capabilities in the field of Citation business jet maintenance and so consolidates its position as the leading Cessna Authorized Service Center outside the USA.
