From now on CIRRUS Aviation will be taking off with a further Legacy 600. This is already the second Legacy 600 in the 16-strong fleet of executive jets belonging to the business aviation company with its headquarters in Saarbrücken. This popular type of aircraft with the "D-AONE" registration is already expecting a "sister" in August, the D-ATWO, similarly a Legacy 600. The D-AONE is not only an eye-catcher due to its gold and purple coloured metallic paint.
The newcomer has plenty to offer on the inside too: the spacious interior of the cabin and roomy hold are without equal in this class. The Legacy 600 from the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer offers first-class comfort for 13 passengers with the largest "stand-up" cabin in its class. The cabin's design, which is divided into three sections, provides both comfort and private areas.
The jet reaches a non-stop cruising range of up to 3250 nm (6019 km) and a speed of up to Mach 0.80 (459 kts/850 km/h) at a maximum cruise altitude of 41,000 ft (12,497 m). What is more the Legacy is certified for steep approaches, e.g. for London City Airport.
The roomy and luxuriously appointed cabin offers VIP passengers all creature comforts, from a video and music system, satellite telephone through to pleasant furnishings for sleep and relaxation. The jet can also operate on transcontinental routes such as London-Dubai non-stop. "Our fleet of Legacies will be increased to seven aircraft by the end of this year, enabling us to achieve an optimum fleet harmonisation", stated the managing director Stefan Buschle.
