Press Release
Issued by CAE Amsterdam Schiphol.
April 27, 2007
FSC has officially opened its brand new 12-bay simulator training center at Schiphol Airport. The ribbon cutting was done by Dr. Martin Schröder, founder and former chairman of Martinair airlines and advisor to FSC.
FSC was founded in 2005 by a team of professionals who earlier started and managed the Friendship Simulation Company and Schreiner Aviation Training. After the acquisition in 2001 of Schreiner Aviation Training by CAE, the team managed the CAE operation in Europe / Middle East until 2005.
November 2006, commercial operations started with the lease of a level B Boeing 737 simulator to Malev Hungarian airlines and the operation of a B737-800 full flight simulator at FSC on Schiphol Airport.
Today, FSC has an approved TRTO and operates two Boeing 737-800 and one Airbus A320 full flight simulators at Schiphol Airport. Two additional B737's, two additional A320's and a Dornier 328 JET simulator will be installed in the coming months. It is FSC's strategy to structurally have capacity available for operators looking for day-time capacity at a convenient location.
"We are determined to build up a strong presence here at Amsterdam-Schiphol airport offering European operators excellent service and unlimited capacity for B737 and A320" said Captain Bob van Balen, managing director of FSC.
