Smart Air founder Stéphane Ledermann is the first Luxembourgian company owner ever to be among the last three world finalists of the international Creative Young Entrepreneur Award (CYEA).
After winning the second prize at this year's national CYEL in Luxembourg last May, 39-year old Stéphane Ledermann convinced the international judging panel no less of his project. Out of a selection of 145 candidates from 18 different countries, he was chosen as one of the three world finalists to participate in the final round this November during the JCI World Congress in Hammamet, Tunisia.
The award, organized by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) in partnership with Flanders District of Creativity (FDC), is specifically designed to recognize outstanding young entrepreneurs and the role of creativity in their success.
Stéphane Ledermann, who based the realization of his business idea right from the beginning on the key imperatives of innovative business development and a creative market approach, considers this particular award therefore a great honor: "Being the founder of Smart Air, it is normal that I always believed 200% in my business idea and the vision of Smart Air. But my special thanks goes to my shareholders for believing in this project and helping me therewith to realize the early start-up stage, to my team who turned this project with me into a young company when celebrating the acquisition of our first customer and it goes now to the members of the JCI for recognizing the potential of this young company and making it one of the most recognized innovative companies worldwide. Without the trust and visionary spirit of all these people, Smart Air could not have accomplished this success in such a short time."
JCI Luxembourg congratulates Mr. Ledermann on being the first CYEL finalist that made it into the top 3 of the CYEA: "On behalf of JCI Luxembourg we would like to express our deepest respect for and to congratulate Mr. Ledermann on his great success. We wish him all the best and good luck at the final round in Tunisia!"
