Aeroclub di Varese, a Flight Training Organization (FTO) located in northern Italy, has selected the Ascent® Flight Trainer™ (AFT™) for their MCC/IR training. This Flight Navigation Procedures Trainer (FNPT) is manufactured by Mechtronix Systems Inc., a leading provider of flight training devices worldwide. The AFT™ is a high end trainer that provides enhanced IR training capacity; further it allows flight schools to reduce costs by performing their MCC training in house.
Aeroclub di Varese's device will be the first and most advanced MCC/IR simulator in the Lombardy region in northern Italy. The simulator is reconfigurable between four aircraft models: B200, Piper Seneca V, Piper Turbo Arrow IV and Cessna C172. The school will seek JAR-STD 3A FNPT II and MCC qualification from ENAC, the Italian civil aviation authority.
Equipped with Garmin 530 GPS the trainer features a 180-degree field of view panoramic cylindrical visual system. The trainer will be delivered with fixed matrix projectors and a Rediffun Simulation Inc. (RSI) RASTERflite™ image generator, a real time visual software offering superior resolution and light point brightness; it that provides locally generated weather, moving models and special effects bringing FFS visual quality to the FNPT world.
Capt. Alberto Gagliardi, Head of Pilot Training of Aeroclub di Varese mentioned: "We used to send our students to other flight centers for MCC training. With the affordable state-of-the-art Ascent® Flight Trainer™ we will perform this training at our facilities, having total control on the training and proficiency of our pilot students; this means significant savings on expenses associated to sending students to third party MCC providers."
Xavier Hervé, President of Mechtronix Systems mentioned: "Our simulators have become European FTO's first choice for MCC/IR training. We are pleased to have been selected by an FTO like Aeroclub di Varese, this is a further testimonial of Mechtronix' expertise in servicing flight schools and training organizations with the right equipment with the best combination of features, quality and price.
