Jet Aviation announces that the company appointed Norbert Marx as new senior vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Basel effective April 16, 2007. He succeeds Rainer Albecker who will stay with Jet Aviation Basel to head the company's most prestigious completions project during the next few years.

Prior to joining Jet Aviation Basel in July 2006 as vice president of completions & modifications and deputy general manager, Norbert Marx served as president & CEO of Lufthansa Technik Tulsa Corporation in Tulsa, OK/USA. As an aviation veteran of nearly 30 years, Marx has a wide background in the fields of VIP completions, aircraft overhaul and modifications as well as component maintenance. During his past career, he worked on different management levels for Lufthansa Technik in Germany and Ameco Beijing in China. Marx holds a diploma in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of the Armed Forces in Munich, Germany.

Norbert Marx succeeds Rainer Albecker who successfully headed the Basel operation for the past eight years and originally joined Jet Aviation in 1973. During his time as general manager of the facility, Rainer Albecker was instrumental in establishing Jet Aviation Basel as one of the leading completions and maintenance facilities worldwide, particularly in the field of wide-body aircraft outfitting. He now will support Jet Aviation Basel as project executive on the company's most prestigious completions project ever.
