Embraer Service Center in Europe receives EASA certification for Phenom 100 jet

Embraer Executive Jets Service Center in Le Bourget received, this month, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification to perform maintenance services on the Phenom 100 jet. The maintenance staff went through theoretical classes at Embraer CAE Training Services (ECTS) and practical training at Embraer’s facility in Gavião Peixoto, Brazil.

“We are very proud to announce this important milestone and to add the Phenom 100 to our maintenance capability list,” said Sébastien Albouy, Senior Manager, Embraer Executive Jet Service Center – Le Bourget. “We are looking forward to building successful relationships with our Phenom customers, as the first deliveries begin in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.”

Located at one of the busiest European airports, 20 minutes from downtown Paris, the Le Bourget service center benefits from its very close proximity to the Embraer European spare parts distribution center in Villepinte. This is a key advantage for supporting base maintenance activities, reducing the downtime of the aircraft, and offering Aircraft On Ground (AOG) missions, while providing engineers with quick access to parts and tools.

The Le Bourget facility is part of the Embraer Executive Jets service center network in Europe, which includes OGMA, in Portugal, and four other authorized centers. It is dedicated exclusively to supporting Embraer Executive Jets, and received the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 certificate in March 2008. Since then, the Embraer team in Le Bourget has performed more than 270 maintenance operations, including services in Russia, the Middle East, Africa, U.K., and Eastern Europe, with Aircraft On Ground (AOG) 24/7 support (+33 6 7343 9641), line interventions, and scheduled maintenance, achieving 100 percent contractual aircraft downtime. The facility holds several agreements with customers in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, and Aruba, and is also able to receive FAA-certified aircraft.

The Le Bourget Service Center has a total area of 36,674 square feet (3,407 square meters) and a 20,451-square-foot (1,900-square-meter) hangar, offering customers an executive ambience with deluxe amenities.
