Press Release
Issued by AviateQ International.
June 11, 2009
Aviation safety specialists, AviateQ International, are expanding by opening a new aviation safety centre in Aberdeen, Scotland to more closely support North Sea customers.
AviateQ provide aviation safety services to a range of major oil and gas customers worldwide. Several customers have outsourced their entire aviation management support to AviateQ. The company is now increasingly supporting North Sea helicopter operations where there is a strong focus on aviation safety.
In particular AviateQ unique shared auditing programme, where AviateQ audits air operators on behalf of a group of oil & gas companies, is attracting a lot of interest. For example in North Africa six multi-national customers already subscribe to this successful scheme. The customers get an insightful analysis and major cost savings. The air operators get a single report with clear actions and guidance. After the audit AviateQ use bespoke web based audit tracking software to give secure access for the air operator to report their progress on-line. Each subscribing customer also gets web access, giving total visibility in real time.
To ensure the quality and continuity of their service, AviateQ employs a team of advisors who have all held senior aviation safety, operations or engineering management positions. They come from organisations such as Shell Aircraft, Bristow, Virgin Atlantic, CHC, Lider, Cathay Pacific, Rolls-Royce, British Aerospace, Airclaims, the UK CAA and Transport Canada. They maintain their practical experience because AviateQ also manages a number of aviation improvement projects in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Australia.
The new aviation safety centre is located close to Aberdeen Airport at the Newmachar Business Centre. It is being run by Senior Aviation Adviser, Andy Evans, who is also Industry Co-Chair of the European Helicopter Safety Analysis Team, part of the International Helicopter Safety Team initiative.
