RUAG Aerospace and List bring first joint project to a successful conclusion

As announced at this years EBACE, RUAG Aerospace and the aircraft interior fittings manufacturer List components & furniture GmbH from Austria have agreed a close partnership in the area of the interior furnishing and equipping of business planes. Customers in the exclusive segment of business & executive jets will benefit in the future from shortened downtime and a onestop-shop: aircraft maintenance and furnishing work in one operation.

In Oberpfaffenhofen, at the end of May, the first joint project of both companies was brought to a successful conclusion. After the RUAG Oberpfaffenhofen facility received approval for Embraer Legacy aircraft service in April of this year, a C-Check on a business jet of this aircraft type operated by the Grossmann Jet Service company was made, with a downtime of 4 weeks only. Apart from the successful installation of a SatCom system (Thrane & Thrane Aero-SB Lite), an exclusive stone floor developed by List was installed as well. It is the first time that this stone floor is installed into a business jet.

The first joint appearance of the two companies at the EBACE in Geneva in mid-May clearly underlined the great demand for this exclusive product.

List components & furniture GmbH brings to the partnership the development, engineering and production of cabinets as well as interior components. With modern, high precision production processes, List works with the finest woods and other high-grade materials for the individual fittings of aircraft types such as Learjet 40, Learjet 45XR, Challenger 300, and in the future Legacy 450 & Legacy 500 as well.

Within the scope of its "Aircraft Service Network" RUAG Aerospace maintains, repairs and modernises planes for business trips at its sites in Zurich-Kloten, Geneva-Cointrin, BernBelp, Lugano-Agno (all CH), Oberpfaffenhofen and Stuttgart (both D). As an authorised Service Centre for various aircraft types and a partner to numerous airplane manufacturers, RUAG Aerospace has great expertise in systems and structures. The portfolio in the area of interior fittings and cabin renovation can be significant expanded through the close partnership with the company List components & furniture GmbH.
