Hans Doll appointed director of customer and product support

Hans Doll has been appointed to the position of Director of Customer and Product Support for Grob Aerospace. Doll is tasked with utilizing his extensive customer support and sales experience to run the company's worldwide customer and product support organization to service customers of the new spn light business jet. The aircraft is on track for European and US FAA Certification by the first and second quarters of 2008 respectively.

Doll will be responsible for the continuous extension of Grob Aerospace's worldwide service centre network, which already includes Stevens Aviation and Landmark Aviation to support spn customers in the North American market and ExecuJet Aviation Group in Europe, Africa, Australia and the Middle East.

Hans Doll comments, "For 35 years we have supported commercially operated fleets of Grob aircraft. Now with ExecuJet, Stevens Aviation as well as Landmark Aviation on board we are offering the level of service expected from top manufacturers with a world-wide presence to support our customers and the spn in particular. With their extensive business jet experience we have a real strategic alliance to compete successfully in the market. To design and build an aircraft is one thing, but the differentiator in the business jet market is the support, and hence we have a strong position."

In his new role, Doll's immediate priority is to transfer and build up the current core product support team into a fully operational business jet customer and product support organization. His remit includes development of technical and operational documentation for the spn as well as setting up the maintenance support program, customer desk and the web-based product support system. Furthermore he will be responsible for the spare parts supply chain and warehouses in the USA and in Europe as well as managing the world-wide field representatives.

Formerly Head of Sales for Grob training aircraft, Hans Doll brings 17 years experience in the aircraft industry with Dornier and Fairchild Dornier in Product Support, Sales Support and program management functions, including helping to build and operate the US sales and support activities for the Do228 and Do328 regional aircraft. Doll started his career as a support engineer on the Tornado fighter program with MBB, now EADS. Recently appointed to Grob Aerospace, Denzil White takes over from Hans Doll as the new Director of International Sales for the Grob Training Fleet as well as Director of Special Mission aircraft.
