Company Norsk Helikopter AS with main office at Stavanger Lufthavn, Sola changes company name to Bristow Norway AS effective from April 1st 2009. At the same time a new company logo is introduced:

The change is initiated after Bristow Helicopters Ltd increased their ownership in former Norsk Helikopter AS from 49% to 100%.

Bristow is the leading provider of helicopter services globally, working together from facilities on every continent around the world to offer a wide range of services.  Through our brand names, Air Logistics and Bristow Helicopters, together with several joint ventures and affiliates, we provide helicopter transportation, maintenance, search and rescue, and related services to the offshore oil and gas industry as well as other business sectors.  Our global presence includes an extensive fleet of more than 450 small, medium and large aircraft that currently operate 300,000 flight hours annually in support of customer operations.  Bristow also provides pilot education/training through Bristow Academy.  It is one of the leading schools for helicopter flight training worldwide and is approved by the FAA and JAA.
