Sun Air Jets, a Signature Select affiliate, and the Aeroplex/Aerolease Group are pleased to announce that they have extended their hangar relationship at the Van Nuys Airport through 2030. Sun Air will continue leasing two 21,000 square foot hangars, with attached office and shop space under the terms of an agreement executed last month.

“This is a win-win deal for both companies,” stated Curt Castagna, Aeroplex/Aerolease's president and CEO. “By continuing the long-standing relationship between us, each entity gains a measure of security and cost certainty in an industry that doesn't usually provide either.” 

Brian Counsil, Sun Air's president and COO agreed. “By signing this agreement with Aeroplex/Aerolease, we ensure adequate space for our managed aircraft customers in the most desirable location in southern California for the foreseeable future. Additionally, we also get to do it in hangars that we know and are proud of, while working with a group of people that are not only good business people, but also good friends.”

Flora Margheritis, manager of Van Nuys Airport commented saying that “The Los Angeles World Airports is pleased that Sun Air Jets will continue its partnership with the Aeroplex/Aerolease Group and remain a tenant operator through 2030. Long-term leases such as this ensure VNY will continue to be the largest economic engine in the San Fernando Valley.”
