The operator of luxury business jets, with headquarters in Saarbrücken, will be providing an extensive 2-month programme of further training for its flight attendants from now on, in order to exceed expectations on board and not merely satisfy the requirements of their demanding passengers.
The aim is to continue optimising in-flight service so that the VIP guest enjoys all the amenities of a flying 3-star restaurant, according to managing directors Stefan Buschle and Jörg Socko. The 2-month long programme commences with the practical work in a de luxe French restaurant, where flight attendants will improve their service and catering skills further, learn the fine art of French haute cuisine and put it into practice. Because organising, preparation and presentation of choice dishes belong equally to the first-class service as much as recommending high-quality wines for the perfect menu. For instance which wines could be recommended to guests with slight indigestion are taught by the gastronome and consultant Frank Seimetz in the next section of the course that goes into greater depth. The former TV chef, who has already cooked in many major starred kitchens puts the focus of his instruction on international ingredients, so that for instance staff are able to offer service like that in a starred restaurant thanks to their substantial expertise in food and beverages, and at the same time are able to improvise whenever things are rushed, explains Seimetz.
Learning how to behave properly towards VIPs and what intercultural differences flight attendants need to pay attention to are also included in the course content, as are special communications training, lessons from a florist and a visit to a make-up artist. The course finishes with a practical examination and qualifies staff as in-flight "3-star angels", who will treat CIRRUS Aviation's prominent clients to pampering of the highest standard. As a result of vigorous expansion by the aviation company about 30 flight attendants and service-oriented persons are currently being sought to attend the course.
