Dart Helicopter Services' announces that their subsidiary partner Apical Industries, Inc. has received EASA approval of their AB139 & AW139 Nose Landing Gear Doors Kit. FAA and Transport Canada approvals have already been received.

The Apical Nose Landing Gear Doors Kit is a complete bolt on solution to reduce drag and cabin noise associated with an open front wheelhouse. The doors are shipped primed and ready for paint, while the machined linkage components come anodized, primed, and painted to protect against corrosion. The kit installs in about a day, uses factory provisions found on all aircraft and requires no permanent modification to the airframe.

The kit includes lightweight carbon fiber doors with closed cell foam cores and billet aluminum linkages, brackets, and hinges. The kit also includes all hardware needed for complete installation.

The carbon fiber doors with closed cell foam cores are designed to improve service life and resist water absorption compared to the OEM doors.
