Rolls-Royce family of helicopter engines has now surpassed the 200 million flight hour, accumulated over the last fifty years, underscoring the Group's leading position in the helicopter market.

Providing power from 300 shp to 7300 shp, Rolls-Royce has one of the broadest ranges of turboshaft engines available. Rolls-Royce helicopter engines power over 150 applications in more than 120 nations in a variety of military and civil roles.

Ken Roberts, President of the Rolls-Royce Helicopter Engine business, said: "The Rolls-Royce helicopter engine family has a market leading position and unsurpassed flight experience. This experience enables us to improve existing engines and deliver more advanced new products to market."

Among its newest products, Rolls-Royce introduced the RR family of small engines beginning with the launch of the RR300 in 2007. The RR300 is the powerplant for Robinson Helicopter Company's five-seat R66 and is being considered by other potential customers for a number of new applications.

The range of Rolls-Royce helicopter engines comprises the Model 250 (Series II, III, and IV), RR300, Gem, Gnome, T800, MTR390 and RTM322. Rolls-Royce has manufactured over 34,000 helicopter turbine engines over the last 50 years.
