With effect from 1st February 2009 47 year-old Jörg Socko, who has a degree in business, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Silver Bird. This means management of the company is now under Jörg Socko (CEO) and Peter Döllner, the founder of the company. "We could not imagine any candidate better qualified for this highly responsible position and we are glad Mr Socko has committed himself to joining Silver Bird. Silver Bird will have the benefit of his many years of experience and, with his support, will focus more on internationalization and opening up new areas of business," to quote Döllner. Socko, an expert when it comes to aviation, will concentrate in particular on the new change in strategy taken by the executive jet business from Saarbrücken. Apart from the planned operation of long-haul jets Silver Bird's focus will increasingly be directed towards aircraft management - in addition to ad-hoc charter and ambulance flights.
