Guernsey operator Waves has created a new role dedicated to customer experience and satisfaction.
Marina Burr has been appointed as head of customer experience at the technology led, on demand air taxi company, which has recently been granted its air operator’s certificate and will shortly soft launch its first passenger and freight flights.
‘We want the customer experience from the first interaction with Waves to the moment you leave the airport to be flawless and to exceed expectations. Waves was established to meet a customer centric demand from islanders and so we want to continue meeting needs and exceeding expectations,’ said Emy De La Mare, head of PR and marketing at Waves.
‘Marina has spent more than 14 years in people-facing roles and knows first-hand how customer experience is integral to a company’s success. She will be an invaluable member of the team now that we have launched our freight service, as we get ready to start our passenger flights and as we grow the company with more aircraft and new routes.’
Mrs Burr moves to Waves after three years as dealer manager at Airtel-Vodafone Guernsey where she was responsible for building the dealer network, brand visibility and sales in the pay-as-you-go market. Before that she had spent nine years working for Sure.
‘Having worked in the highly competitive telecoms market, I know the difference customer service can make to loyalty. It’s clear from my first couple of weeks with Waves just how important exceptional customer service is to them and the high regard they have for it. I’m excited to put my experience to good use for the future success of Waves’ says Mrs Burr.
