Peter Moores, Managing Director of JRA Aerospace retires after 21 years in the company.
During his very successful period of leadership, Peter has taken the company from a small 2-man organisation working with his co-founder, John Rootes, operating in the field of bid management to a respected consultancy employing over 20 staff providing a range of consultancy support to a wide spectrum of clients in the defence and aerospace sectors. Over the last few years the focus has been on the development of new business streams and Peter has turned JRA into a safety & environmental consultancy renowned in the defence sector. Peter has given the business a pragmatic and practical approach and JRA has a well-deserved reputation for providing highly cost-effective support closely tailored to client needs. Peter leaves the business in fantastic shape with a solid customer base and a programme for the development of the provision of airworthiness, safety management and environmental support in the civil sector.
Peter wishes his colleagues at JRA Aerospace every success for the future and commented: "I will be continuing to work part-time for JRA Aerospace as an Associate to complete some of the projects in which I am currently involved and will be providing some marketing support to assist in developing new projects and pushing the company forward into the civil market."
Andy Evans will be stepping into the role as Managing Director. Andy has spent the last 6 years with the company as Director of Safety, and comes from a background of 22 years in aerospace and defence business.
Congratulating Peter on his years of success at JRA Aerospace Andy commented: "The company is a great reflection of Peter's own character - practical, no-nonsense, and delivering just the right product with good humour! It will be a pleasure to build on from Peter's legacy, continuing our solid growth throughout the civil aerospace market".
