AMAC Aerospace is celebrating its tenth anniversary. The company was founded in 2007 as AMAC Aerospace in Basel, Switzerland. Today, AMAC Aerospace is an established privately-owned facility offering turnkey solutions in regard to private, VIP and corporate business aviation services with seven hangars in Switzerland, Turkey and France.
AMAC Aerospace strategically stationed four state-of-the-art hangars in the heart of Europe at Switzerland’s EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse to provide maintenance, completion and refurbishment services to its discerning clientele from around the world.
AMAC started building its first hangar in Basel, Switzerland in 2007 and the business commenced with the first completion project, when the hangar was completed in 2008. The company expanded the headquarters in Basel by building two further hangars in 2010 and 2012. Since 2015, the facility comprises 4 hangars with a total facility size of 91,000sqm.
AMAC started to expand its services to other countries in 2012, when AMAC Aerospace Turkey was established with one hangar located at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey. One year ago, JCB Aero was added to its group of companies. With one 5,000sqm hangar located at a private airport in Auch, close to Toulouse, the company is happy to be now also present in France. The construction for a new facility in Bodrum, Turkey is currently under way and AMAC will start operations there by the third quarter of this year.
“At this point we are happy to say that AMAC has achieved growth from a single hangar opertation to a group of companies that operates seven hangars with offices in five different locations with more than 107,000sqm of facility size within the last 10 years. Our ambitious progress attests to our commitment to excellence. With our long-term industry engagement, deep industry roots, extensive experience and strong international network, we collaborate to exceed the expectations of clients, airworthiness authorities and original equipment manufacturers”, says Kadri Muhiddin, group executive chairman/CEO of AMAC Aerospace.
