Hong Kong Aviation Group is delighted to announce the merger of the maintenance departments of Metrojet and Heliservices, which are sister companies with a common senior management. With the merger of Heliservices' maintenance department into Metrojet, the enlarged maintenance of Metrojet is able to service helicopters in dual locations at Kadoorie Base in the New Territories and the Hong Kong Business Aviation Center at Hong Kong International Airport with additional shared resouces and expertise.
The merger allows Metrojet to perform heavy inspections and maintenance services on Aerospatiale SA315B Lama, Aerospatiale AS355N Squirrel, McDonnell Douglas 369D/E Series and 500N/520 NOTAR Series helicopters. "The merger shows our commitment to provide our customers with the best maintenance support in the region," said Chris Buchholz, CEO of Metrojet Limited and Heliservices (UK) Limited. "It further enhances our maintenance capabilities and service level by sharing Heliservices' and Metrojet's resources, expertise, equipment, tooling, and our various regulatory approvals. We are also enhancing our helicopter spares inventory management by sharing our state of the art CORRIDOR system" he mentioned, "By combining the best of Helisesrvices and Metrojet's maintenance departments, we are strengthening our market positioning to further develop our third party helicopter maintenance business.
