Satcom Direct (SD), the business aviation connectivity solution provider, will host its first inflight connectivity workshop in Africa on 6 April 2017. The specialist workshop, which is free of charge, has already proved invaluable to attendees in Europe, Asia and the USA. SD is introducing the workshop to Africa to support the growing number of business aviation stakeholders that regularly use connectivity products across the continent.

Designed for cabin crew, maintenance teams, technical engineers, pilots, and flight departments the seminar will be led by SD's Brian Roos, business development manager for Africa and Asif Ansari, technical support manager for the MEA region. They will be joined by a team of industry experts from SD partners Cobham, Inmarsat, Panasonic, and ViaSat.

The one day event will outline the latest trends and technology in business aviation connectivity, deliver product updates, and provide live demos. Session content will include information on the growing need for secure connectivity for aircraft cabins and cockpits; an overview of router capabilities for flight decks and cabins; the latest functionality available via SD Pro, the dashboard management tool that supports flight operations; as well as a collection of troubleshooting tips. A forum discussion will give attendees the opportunity to quiz the industry experts about specific issues.
