JRA Aerospace (www.jra-aero.com) Managing Director, Peter Moores, has been appointed deputy chairman of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers Airworthiness Technical Applications Committee (AirworthinessTAC). The committee represents the Institution in all matters of airworthiness and air safety and has run highly successful public seminars on the subject for several years.

Peter Moores was quoted as saying that: "The Airworthiness committee has established a well respected reputation in the field of airworthiness management which is becoming increasingly important as the worldwide public demands constant improvements to the safety of air transportation. I look forward to supporting the Institution's efforts to stay abreast of developments in this arena and to promote the cause of airworthiness management through the activities of the committee."

Peter is expected to take over the chairmanship of the committee in summer 2009.
