On 26th September 2016 the Indian civil aviation authority, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, approved the PZL's short take-off and landing (STOL) M28 aircraft for commercial operations.
The M28, which represents the utmost flight safety and reliability, can now serve civil operators in India, and is expected to find other markets across the Far East and Asia. Obtaining the Indian certificate is another step that allows PZL to work with civil operators in these promising regions.
The M28 aircraft already has airworthiness certificates from the FAA and EASA, and also is approved by Indonesia, Nepal, Taiwan and Brazil.
