November 3, 2016
Asian Sky Group is growing its operations with the addition of Lynton Van Aswegen, who will head the group’s expansion into the untapped and growing African market.
Lynton joins ASG from Paramount Group, an African-based global defense and aerospace company, where he served as head of general aviation. With Paramount Group, Lynton helped to expand the African operations of numerous businesses including AMO/MRO facilities, aviation insurance companies, general aviation OEMs, as well as providing IT solutions for civil aviation authorities and improving airport security and air traffic control systems around the country for European consultants. Prior to that, Lynton worked as sales director for Africa, with Embraer Executive Jets. Lynton established the new market for Embraer beginning in 2006, where he completed successful sales across the country including in Morocco, Nigeria, Angola, Botswana, South Africa, Mauritius, Kenya, and Egypt. Lynton continues to develop himself in the business aviation industry, sitting on the board of the African Business Aviation Association (AfBAA).
“Africa is an up and coming economy, making way for business aviation,” says ASG managing director, Jeffrey Lowe. “This is an opportune time to gain entry into this market and Lynton’s success expanding operations proves we picked the right person for the job.”
