October 26, 2016
AMSTAT, the leading provider of global business aircraft market, fleet and operator information has partnered with Van Buren Advisors and General Aviation Services to provide a new standard in business aircraft valuation services. The combined teams have announced that they will demonstrate the AMSTAT Aircraft Valuation Tool on November 1-2, 2016 at NBAA Booth #3939, in Orlando, Florida.
“Even in good years there is a relatively small number of retail business aircraft transactions compared to other capital asset markets. This fact, combined with the lack of transparency in these transactions, make it a challenge to gather meaningful quantities of aircraft sold prices” said Andrew Young, AMSTAT GM. He added that “even when sold prices are available, the user still has to account for factors such as the passage of time, market trends and variances between the specifications of the serial number they want to value and those aircraft for which data has been gathered. Multiple services, including AMSTAT, are frequently involved but the whole process is very time consuming and subject to inconsistency.”
Young went on to say that “after two years of collaborative effort utilizing quantitative analytics, market expertise and decades of historical market data, the AMSTAT Aircraft Valuation Tool is a response to these challenges and will revolutionize the aircraft valuation process.”
AMSTAT is currently beta testing this new service, but you can get a sneak peek at the AMSTAT Booth #3939 at NBAA 2016, Orlando, FL from November 1-3, 2016.
