VistaJet International adds Learjet 60 XR to its fleet In Subang

VistaJet International, one of the largest and fastest growing business jet service and solutions providers, has added on a brand new Learjet 60 XR to its Asia Pacific fleet stationed at the SkyPark FBO Malaysia at the SkyPark Subang Terminal.

The Learjet 60 XR is capable of six passengers and represents one of the quickest modes of business jet travel for short haul destinations. It also represents one of the most economical and efficient business jets for today's competitive environment.

In a statement issued today, VistaJet International chief commercial officer Mr Eric Weisskopf said, "Following the successful take up of our business jet travel services here in Malaysia and the region, we have added on the Learjet 60 XR to meet demand especially for short haul flights within the ASEAN region."

In addition to the Learjet 60 XR, Vistajet International has also two other business jet aircrafts stationed in Subang that include the Bombardier Challenger 605 and a Challenger 850 valued at a cumulative USD59.9 million.

Both these aircrafts are capable of long haul flights - the CL605 capable of seven hours and 10 passengers, while the CL850 is capable of six hours and 14 passengers.

The presence of the Learjet 60 XR today represents VistaJet International's further commitment to the Asia Pacific via Malaysia's SkyPark Subang Terminal.

"Vistajet International believes there is tremendous potential for Subang to grow into one of the world's finest general and corporate aviation hub serving the Asia Pacific region," said Weisskopf.

On May 20 2008, VistaJet announced that it had placed a firm order for 35 Bombardier business jets, including an option for an additional 25 aircraft. This USD1.2 billion business jet order will triple the size of VistaJet's existing fleet.

The Skyjet International transaction and current aircraft order will see VistaJet's fleet expand to 94 jets by 2012. The company recently forecast a 50 per cent increase in revenues for this year and expects to generate approximately 80,000 flight hours by 2012.
