RUAG exceeds 500 Winslow life raft maintenance events to date

RUAG Aviation has announced the completion of its 500th life raft maintenance event on Winslow equipment. The milestone for the industry leader in aircraft component MRO was achieved in the first week of October 2016. RUAG Aviation's one-stop shop services at its Munich location, features the industry's only dedicated, in-house component service centre. The centre guarantees a turnaround time of just three days for any single component.

The component service centre at RUAG Aviation in Munich has reached a significant milestone with this 500th life raft service event on Winslow equipment. The achievement showcases the inherent standards of quality, trust and absolute reliability for satisfying industry expectations and meeting aircraft availability requirements. As well, it serves to underscore the success of the partnership between the two companies.

RUAG Aviation's expertise has made it the leading provider of life raft services in the industry. In fact, industry averages show completion on a single Winslow life raft can require up to three weeks. RUAG Aviation requires as little as one day to fulfil the same requirements, proving highest standards of quality, and ensuring guaranteed OEM compliance and full certification. An approved centre of competency for Winslow life rafts, RUAG Aviation component services extends to all six Winslow model variations; each one of which comes equipped with ten pieces of mandatory equipment, including a beacon, flares, water-filter, hand pumps, survival rations, knives, batteries and torches. Additional supplies and fillers are individually chosen and specified by each aircraft owner, resulting in tailored maintenance and supply services. RUAG is able to ensure that all life raft service events are completed within three days.

Completing between 250 and 350 aircraft component tasks and projects every month, RUAG Aviation proves a turnaround time of just 3 days for each component event.
