Dubai’s Titan Aviation expands with IFG Tie-up, helps firms tackle region

Dubai's Titan Aviation group has signed an MOU with the U.S. based InterFlight Global Corporation to expand its aerospace consulting, advisory and brokerage services in the Middle East and Americas.

Titan Aviation's managing director Capt, Sakeer Sheik says that his existing Dubai base is the perfect jumping off point to bring IFG's expertise to a wider network of regional customers.

Titan is already very active in India and Singapore and says the rapid expansion of new aviation companies in the UAE is a significant opportunity for new business.

"There are several companies that are embarking on sizeable expansion now," says Sheik, "and they need help with restructuring and strategic advice.

"We are providing extra crews in some other cases. Then there are also operators here that are going to take on significant new aircraft like the Airbus A350 soon, and the next step for us will be into that big league."

Sheik also says there are firms from the U.S. and Latin America that want to establish themselves in the Dubai World Central development, and that Titan can help build their operations in the UAE. New business has also presented itself at MEBA. "On Sunday a new client came to us looking for help with crews in Asia and we will firm up that agreement on Tuesday," Sheik told Show News.

"Our service helps companies save on planning and staffing and infrastructure costs," he says, "and at the same time brings an essential outside perspective that companies really need.

"Companies setting up in Dubai are already importing a lot of expertise so why not come and get it from a local provider?"
