Press Release
Issued by Parker Lord.
October 4, 2016
Lord Corporation, a leader in the management of vibration, noise and motion control, is attending the Helitech International Show being held in Amsterdam during 11-13 October. The company can be found in Stand 12E20. Executives attending the show are Mr. Rodolphe Leroy, sales marketing and business development manager, and Mr. Ramesh Rajoo, customer manager.
Lord Corporation comes to Helitech on the back of announcing product qualification for its Improved Vibration Control System (IVCS) for the Boeing H-47 Chinook helicopter, a major milestone in bringing significant weight savings to the helicopter while stopping the progression of vibration due to the main rotor, and creating a more comfortable vibration environment for the aircrew.
However, the main focus of Lord Corporation's participation at Helitech International is to emphasise its commitment to aftermarket support for the rotary wing sector worldwide.
Lord Corporation's MRO services team keeps customers flying safely with OEM quality parts. Lord lowers direct maintenance costs for helicopter users, having provided over $300 million in savings since 1979. Lord has been operating its Bell repair and overhaul services under an exclusive agreement with Bell Helicopter since 1992. Trusted by both manufacturers and operators, Lord supports 22 different rotary wing platforms and directly supplies over 100 critical and non-critical parts.
In June 2016, Lord announced that it is now offering main driveshaft transmission boot repair services for Bell 412HP and Bell 412 EP/EPi models at a cost some two thirds that of a new purchase. This builds upon an exchange programme for the Bell 412 spindle and damper bearing assembly that was announced by Lord in 2015 and which, coupled with product improvements and extended service life warranty, increases aircraft availability and lowers operational costs.
Lord Corporation also provides aftermarket support for the Schweizer 300/330 helicopter through an agreement with Sikorsky Commercial Inc., which enables operators to acquire damper and bearing components directly from Lord.
Building on its strong aftermarket performance, Lord plans several new announcements at the show.
