Asian Sky Group releases Asian Sky Quarterly, 2016 Q3

Acclaimed for its year-end fleet reports, Asian Sky Group (ASG) announces the release of its fourth installment of Asian Sky Quarterly (2016 Q3).

Asian Sky Quarterly continues to evolve, with updated information on the business jet and civil helicopter markets throughout the Asia-Pacific region. This edition will feature a detailed country profile on aviation in Japan, complete with insider knowledge from all facets of the industry. It also includes an industry insider interview with Boeing Business Jet president, David Longridge speaking on the growing China market. VistaJet president of north Asia, Leona Qi also discusses the charter operator's membership programs and its hopes for further expansion.

As with every edition, Asian Sky Quarterly supplies information on market intelligence and trends, Asia-specific and country-specific macroeconomic indicators, data on market mood, as well as the availability and sales prices for specific pre-owned aircraft types.

Highlights of this edition include:

- An in-depth look at the Japan business jet and civil helicopter fleets, which stand at 53 and 765, respectively.

- The value of the pre-owned business jets' inventory for sale, showing a growth of 5.8 billion to 7.9 billion USD (in the last 24 months), making it a 'buyer's market'.

- The value of the pre-owned civil helicopter inventory for sale, showing an increase of 59%, from 683 million to 1087 million USD, in the last 24 months.

- The value of BBJ inventory for sale, which shows a decrease from 683 million to 584 million USD, or -14.5%, suggesting stability on the supply side.

- A 2016 Q3 market survey on the current economic mood, aircraft utilization, management company satisfaction, aircraft charter, purchase intentions, and influencing factors of a purchase decision.

- A summary of the most popular business jet and civil helicopter models, providing average asking price and number of aircraft for sale.

“ASG looks forward to yet another comprehensive report on the business aviation market in the Asia-Pacific region,” says ASG managing director, Jeffrey Lowe. “As with every report, the fourth edition of Asian Sky Quarterly examines the current market dynamics, providing helpful information for potential buyers, sellers, and industry members looking to better understand current market conditions.”

The fourth edition of Asian Sky Quarterly comes just after the release of the inaugural Asia-Pacific Business Jet Charter Report, which provided an in-depth look at the region's charter market.

Asian Sky Quarterly will be distributed in the Asia-Pacific region with a Chinese version made available in China.
