Jet Centre Curacao congratulates Curacao Air Terminal Services N.V. on being first ground handler in region to meet IS-BAH requirements

Jet Centre Curacao (JCC), an Air Elite Network FBO located at Curacao International Airport (TNCC), has congratulated its ground handler, Curacao Air Terminal Services N.V. (CATS), on its recent certification as an International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) accredited ground handler, the first in the region.

"On behalf of our entire management team, we congratulate our JCC ground handling partner, CATS, on this excellent achievement which symbolizes their commitment to safety and aviation best practices," said Ralph Blanchard, CEO of Curacao Airport Partners regarding the recent accreditation. "CATS has a very important role in our business as they provide excellent customer service to all our FBO customers. We are proud to work closely with their passionate and professional staff and we are pleased that our customers will have the added sense of comfort knowing that they are being served by a ground handler that has been certified to these highest standards."

Since 1983, CATS has been the pioneer of business and general aviation on the island of Curacao. The company's main priorities are to ensure the finest customer service and safety in its operations. Eyeing wider international growth in the region, CATS opened an operation in Cuba and has plans for another location outside of Curacao and Cuba. Beyond ground handling services, CATS also offers other general aviation services, including landing and overflight permits as well as coordination and supervision of general aviation test flights.

The IS-BAH is designed to promote use of industry best practices blended through a progressive safety management system (SMS) for FBOs and business aircraft handling agencies. The IS-BAH follows the long-established structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) program and fully incorporates the NATA Safety 1st ground audit program. As a voluntary single global industry code of best practices, the IS-BAH provides, through an independent third party audit, a means of recognition and a well-founded safety management development process to assist aircraft operators with their SMS obligations under ICAO Annex 19.
