Brazil-based trip planning experts from Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. will be hosting daily seminars at EBACE2016 (in Universal exhibit #X089) to help operators proactively plan their trips to the 2016 Brazil Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro. The seminars are open to all EBACE attendees, and will be available all three days of the show.
“Much like we saw with the 2014 World Cup, Brazilian authorities are starting to enact more regulations impacting business aircraft operations during the 2016 Brazil Summer Games as the event draws nearer ,” said Andre Camargo, managing director, Universal Aviation Brazil. “These changes can create a complex environment for operators, as there many operational aspects to consider such as airport slots, tech stops and hub airports, exclusion zones, fuel, visa requirements, hotels, and cabotage.”
In addition to the seminars, to assist operators in identifying the requirements for this event, Universal has developed comprehensive digital and print reference guides, including:
- Online: 2016 Brazil Summer Games Trip Planning Resource Center (www.universalweather.com/brazil2016).
- Print: 2016 Brazil Summer Games Planning Guide, available at Universal Exhibit #X089
Both the site and the reference guide were designed based on best practice learned from previous high-traffic events. The resource center is continuously updated with information and intelligence gathered from Universal's presence on the ground in Brazil, including its Universal Aviation locations and its Sao Paulo-based Brazil Operations Center. The resources provide information on airport slot requirements, parking, visa considerations, airport information, landing permits, NOTAMs, and more.
