Press Release
Issued by The Air Charter Association.
May 23, 2016
These are exciting times for the Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA), and the organisation is exhibiting at EBACE for the first time from booth E066, where it plans to raise its international profile and alert brokers and operators to the many benefits of the association.
Many people may not be aware of BACA's influence and so the association recently asked WingX to conduct a survey of existing members. This established a number of key facts about the size, scale and impact the members of BACA have on the air charter industry. For example, BACA member companies generated €4.2 billion turnover in 2014 and during 2015 operated 147,000 flights using 1259 airports, connecting 146 countries and over 25,000 city pairs around the world. This clearly demonstrates the scale and positive impact that BACA member companies have on the aviation industry.
With the recent appointment of a new chairman, Richard Mumford, and the addition of four new executives to the BACA council, the association is poised to develop some exciting new concepts. BACA wishes to drive forward a number of initiatives to deliver further value to members and influence international legislation on key factors for brokers and operators, such as regulations and grey charters.
BACA chairman Richard Mumford advises "I am delighted that we are exhibiting at EBACE. Iit is vital that we are present at Europe's premier business aviation event. We have some exciting plans for the future and I welcome members and non-members to come and visit our booth to discuss how we may develop further BACA's influence and representation of our industry."
