In a press conference today, on the eve of the Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) show, Mohammed Al-Zeer, of MAZ Aviation and Jerry and Kathy Gore of Gore Design Completions, Ltd. (GDC) announced a contract for GDC to complete extensive interior work on an aircraft for a Middle Eastern customer. Al-Zeer and his client have contracted a full Refurb and reconfiguration on the interior of an A340-200 that will arrive at GDC in summer 2009.
This project which represents the third A340 signed this year by GDC will take just over one year to complete. The project includes pulling out the current interior and reconfiguring over 80% of the existing layout on the aircraft. All design and engineering work will be completed in house by GDC's experienced team of designers and engineers. Jerry Gore, whose background is in industrial design, completed initial design of the aircraft and he, along with Kathy Gore will work closely with the team throughout this project.
