Thomas Global Systems signs distribution agreement with DAC International

Thomas Global Systems, a leader in the design, production and support of innovative electronics solutions for aerospace and defense applications, announced today at the MRO Americas Show the signing of a distribution agreement with DAC International, a Greenwich AeroGroup company.

Under the agreement, DAC International, a distributor of avionics, test equipment, data converters and aviation supplies for general, corporate, military, regional and commercial aircraft, will serve as a distributor of Thomas Global's pioneering range of plug-and-play CRT-to-LCD avionic display products.

The products covered by the agreement are Thomas Global's innovative new suite of cockpit CRT-to-LCD display retrofit solutions, which offer a plug-and-play LCD replacement solution for existing cockpit CRT displays in business, commercial and regional aircraft. The LCD solutions eliminate CRT obsolescence threat, dramatically increasing system reliability, and driving down maintenance costs. Launched in 2015, the retrofit solutions allow operators to get the most out of their existing cockpit investments, eliminating expensive full cockpit upgrades and with no need for changes to cockpit panels or wiring, equipment downtime and flight crew retraining. The displays, incorporating Thomas Global's proprietary Adaptive Display Architecture 2.0, provide a platform that can accommodate nextgen capabilities and evolving technologies across a growing range of aircraft including the Saab 340, Embraer 120, Beech 1900D, Dassault Falcon 20.50, Hawker 800, IAI Astra 1125 and others.

“DAC International is an internationally respected leader in the distribution of avionics and we are delighted to be working with them for the distribution of our new LCD cockpit solutions”, says Thomas Global's CEO Angus Hutchinson. “As we expand our reach across new and existing territories and continue to pioneer new, innovative avionics solutions, their market knowledge and customer insights will complement our growth strategies.”
