March 29, 2016
Stratajet, the world's only real-time booking platform for private jets, today announced that it can now offer its customers the option to use Apple Pay, making Stratajet the first company of its type to provide this fast and simple way to purchase flights via its app.
Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service by Apple Inc. that lets users make payments using the iPhone and is set to make purchasing private jet flights as simple as paying for a beverage at a coffee shop. This development means that Stratajet app users will be able to pay for private jet services with just a click. The Apple Pay system offers convenient and secure checkout for use on both iPhone and iPad and checking out is as easy as selecting Apple Pay on the customer's device and placing a finger on the Touch ID.
Jonny Nicol, Stratajet founder and CEO explained, “We have seen a huge growth in demand for the use of our app and we know that most of that demand is coming from people who have iOS mobiles. Offering Apple Pay to our customers adds to the many other ways Stratajet is making private jet travel accessible to a wider market.” Nicol added, “Stratajet has a history of being first to market with the advancement of its product and being able to offer this opportunity to our private jet users is no different”.
Stratajet is the only booking platform for private jets that, depending on your location, suggests the best airfields for a journey and also has the technology to include partial empty legs in its pricing, increasing efficiency for the operator and bringing down the cost of flying privately for the consumer.
