Press Release
Issued by Returnjet.
March 15, 2016
With 2016 well underway, and the number of registered brokers using the Returnjet system showing a very healthy rate of growth, the broker support team has turned its attention to retention and increased engagement.
Since entering the industry in 2012, Returnjet has firmly established itself as a key player in the online charter booking arena. Having taken significant steps over the last 12 months to acquire market share and offer the market a genuine alternative to the incumbent players, Returnjet is now focussed on next phase objectives.
CEO and Founder, Mark Blanchfield explains what lies in store. “We knew when we entered this market that there was only ever going to be room for a handful of platforms. A strategy that would mimic the current key player could only ever be short term. So, unlike other platforms, we have chosen to secure our position by doing something different. One obvious difference is that Returnjet is totally free to use, with revenue coming from advertising and sponsorship channels. Another, that we provide access to every operator and aircraft, regardless of whether they are registered. But we also accept that asking the market to change a behaviour or try a new tool is no small thing. And that's why we have been so delighted with the number of brokers that are now turning to Returnjet as the go-to charter booking tool.”.
He continues “We never underestimate the power of loyalty within an increasingly competitive market and we want to ensure that brokers who choose to place their searches with us understand how much we value their business.”
Whilst reward schemes and the concept of loyalty bonuses are pretty well entrenched throughout B2B, Returnjet wanted to avoid gimmick giveaways and instead offer an incentive that had a real 'business value' to the broker.
Blanchfield continues “The rallying call of Returnjet is to be better connected, so it makes sense to offer a reward which helps brokers achieve this. Working so closely with the Argus team we know the very clear advantage that an Argus registration delivers. So we are really pleased to be able to offer our brokers the chance to get their first year subscription at no cost. The cost value of the reward is around $3,500 so there is no doubt it's a reward that stands apart from other, more gimmicky promotions.”
The programme launches this month with the first reward being assigned at the end of May. The rewards campaign will then run continually each quarter.
Aviation director Steve Westlake adds “The Argus promotion is a brilliant way to kick start our rewards programme and one which we know our brokers will value. Moving forwards we will be inviting feedback about other kinds of rewards that brokers, and indeed operators, would like to receive. As with everything Returnjet, we build our business around what the market wants, and the rewards programme will be no different.”
