Press Release
Issued by Zenith Aviation.
March 11, 2016
Stuart Mulholland, managing director at Biggin Hill-based Zenith Aviation, attributes the recent CAA accreditation of his company with worldwide AOC approval to the performance of his close-knit, dedicated and highly experienced operations team.
The four strong team is responsible for the forward planning and dispatch of all the company's flights from their impressive ops enclave at its airport HQ. Richard Brownell as head of ground operations leads the team and is assisted by Alex Bloomfield and Steve Ransom as operations controllers and Richard Lawson, ground operations manager. The team will shortly be augmented by a fifth member which will enable Zenith to provide full 24/7 operations support to its rapidly expanding customer base.
Co-located within the ops room is the charter sales department with responsibility for handling all of Zenith's incoming charter enquires. Having minute-by-minute access to the operations team has not only streamlined the quoting process but also given the sales team real time access to live flight information such as slots or weather issues that can be quickly passed on to the customer at a time where the speed of information is often as valuable as the message that it contains.
Modern technology plays an important role in the ops room. The Flight Explorer system by Sabre tracks company flights in real time and is linked to live feeds alerting the team to potential weather related problems. All details of each company movement are shown on a large centrally positioned screen.
The worldwide AOC certification enables Zenith to flight plan and dispatch aircraft under their supervision from any departure point to any destination wherever this maybe.
Richard Brownell says that the new worldwide AOC certification will provide a major boost to Zenith's international business.
“Our dynamic operations team can deliver quickly, safely and efficiently for the customer as a result of all these arrangements being put in place, and the customer is at the epicentre of all our efforts. Business without boundaries opens new global opportunities for Zenith with this new and far-reaching CAA approval.”
The Zenith Aviation business at London's Biggin Hill Airport embraces charter sales, aircraft management, business aircraft sales and EASA-approved maintenance facilities.
