November 5, 2008

Steffen Fries becomes Chief Operating Officer of DC Aviation GmbH

The Executive Board of DC Aviation has been reinforced with the imminent arrival of Steffen Fries. As Chief Operating Officer, Fries will be responsible for all customer-relevant business areas of the company. These include the management of all business processes, international sales and marketing and the accentuated further development of products from Germany's largest operator of private jets. Following the merger of Cirrus Aviation and the former DaimlerChrysler Aviation, the reorganisation of the Executive Board is another step in the continued development of DC Aviation as one of the leading operators of business jets in Europe.

Dieter Heinen, CEO of DC Aviation: "We are delighted that we have been able to attract Steffen Fries, a known expert in European business aviation, to our company. Our international charter clients as well as aircraft owners have high expectations of the quality of our products. With his renowned expertise in the industry, Steffen Fries will bring new ideas to our product development and client orientation." Through its charter and aircraft management services, DC Aviation offers tailor-made solutions for efficient private jet travel.

Fries brings with him more than 14 years of experience in the aviation industry. He joins DC Aviation from the European business jets operator, NetJets Europe, where he spent five years as Senior Vice President with responsibility for the development of the German market. Prior to this, from 1998 to 2002, he was as a Key Account Manager at debis Systemhaus/T-Systems for the client Airbus Industries (Toulouse, Hamburg). At Deutsche Lufthansa AG, the graduate industrial engineer was employed for a time as an internal consultant in Group Development and as an assistant to the Group Board, Marketing.

Together with CEO Dieter Heinen, Steffen Fries will form the Executive Board of DC Aviation GmbH. This realignment sees the Executive Board limited to two persons at the request of the shareholder and expanded by an effective team. Marc Ambrosius, authorised signatory and Commercial Director of DaimlerChrysler Aviation from 1999 to 2007, will continue to run the commercial division of DC Aviation, once he has completed the financial integration of the two companies in his role as CFO of DC Aviation and Cirrus Aviation. Stefan Buschle, CEO of Cirrus Aviation Fluggesellschaft mbh since 2005 and member of the executive board at DC Aviation since the beginning of 2008, leaves the company at his own request. Dieter Heinen: "We thank Mr Buschle for his important contribution during the merger of Cirrus Aviation and DaimlerChrysler Aviation." The parting is amicable and with mutual respect and recognition of the successful work accomplished.
