Finmeccanica announced today that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Corporación de la Industria Aeronáutica Colombiana S.A. (CIAC). The MoU was signed as Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi visited Colombia this week.

Under the MoU Finmeccanica-AgustaWestland and CIAC will evaluate mutually beneficial collaboration opportunities in the Colombian aviation market in areas such helicopter completions, aircraft parts manufacturing, helicopter maintenance and support services. The parties will also evaluate opportunities for twin engine helicopters, such as the AW169, AW139 and AW189, in Colombia for both commercial and military applications.
