TAG Aviation SA Geneva earns coveted IS-BAO Stage 2 accreditation

TAG Aviation SA has once again strengthened its dedication to safety excellence by renewing its IS-BAO Stage 2 certification.

Awarded by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) the IS-BAO program which was launched in 2002 is an industry code of practice which certifies the highest standards of safety, security and efficiency in business aircraft operations. The Switzerland-based operating centre also renewed its accreditation to the Wingman Wyvern safety program earlier in this year's EBACE exhibition.

Highly regarded by the aviation industry worldwide, successful completion for the award requires a comprehensive on-site audit and assessment of safety-related operational processes and management systems, including mitigating risk via performance-based standards and guidance protocols for the operator's safety management system (SMS), emergency response plan and documented records of aircraft operation and maintenance. Less than 20% of all operators have the distinction of achieving the distinction of Stage 2 status.

“Successfully completing the prestigious IS-BAO audit puts us in an elite category of aviation operators throughout the world dedicated to safety and operational excellence”, said Erwan Clolery, safety and compliance monitoring manager, TAG Aviation Geneva. “It is testament to our mature level of expertise and demonstrates to our customers our on-going investment to achieve the highest possible safety standards and professional quality operating standards.”

According to IS-BAO policy, the objective of a Stage 2 evaluation is to confirm that firstly, the SMS is functioning, secondly, results are being measured, thirdly that safety management activities are appropriately targeted and fourthly, safety risks are being appropriately managed by the operator. “We congratulate TAG Aviation SA, on achieving IS-BAO Stage 2 registration and joining the distinguished group of operators worldwide who have successfully earned this recognition,” said Sonnie Bates, IS-BAO program director, International Business Aviation Council.
