DART Helicopter Services announces EASA approval of Apical's Cylindrical Emergency Float Systems for MD 500 and MD 369 series helicopters.

DART Helicopter Services has announced that their subsidiary Apical Industries inc., has recently received EASA approval of their Cylindrical Emergency Float System for MD 369HS/HM/HE/D/E/FF and MD 500N helicopters. Transport Canada and FAA certification have been previously received.

Apical's System is approximately 50 pounds lighter than the OEM supplied system and has been designed to include several features that ease operation and reduce maintenance costs and down time.

• Cylinder valve assemblies and floats are available as exchange items

• Float chambers include field replaceable pressure relief and inflation valves

• Float bags are on condition and need not be returned to factory for recertification

• Longer inspection limits
