November 9, 2015
MENA Aerospace has announced the launch of a new division called MENA Technics, which will offer ground services and line maintenance to local and regional aviation clients. The new division will support operators of private and business jets as an independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider. Operating from MENA Aerospace's 6,400 sq m hangar and private aviation complex at Bahrain International Airport, MENA Technics will offer ground services with flexible hours and round the clock operation. The company's line maintenance offering will provide full technical support and customised solutions for a wide range of aircraft.
Mr. Jassim Al Marzooqi, general manager of MENA Technics, said, "I am extremely excited to be heading this new division, which will provide a vital high quality service to aviation clients in the region and beyond. MENA Technics complements the other MENA Aerospace divisions perfectly and allows us to offer tailor-made one stop solutions to our customers." He added, "We have two clear goals for the new company over the coming year: to be the first MRO to handle every type of aircraft in the region, and to build a solid line maintenance business to support third party operators."
MENA Aerospace also announced the group's participation in the January 2016 Bahrain International Airshow. The official attendance agreement was signed at Dubai Airshow on Monday by H.E. the Minister of Transport and Telecommunications Engineer Kamal Bin Ahmed and MENA Aerospace ceo Omar Matar, in the presence of representatives and organisers of the BIA. The company will be taking a corporate chalet and will be inviting their global, regional and local partners.
"Bahrain International Airshow offers the perfect platform for us to connect and network with existing and future clients and suppliers, showcase our latest products and services and explore new opportunities for partnership and development," said Mr Matar. "We are always keen to support aviation events and the industry in the region as a whole, and of course the Bahrain International Show is particularly important to us because Bahrain is our home."
Mr Tawfeq Al Zamil, vice chairman of MENA Aerospace, who was also in attendance, agreed with his colleague and added, "This is an exciting time for the company and these two airshows give us the perfect occasion to both share and celebrate our recent important developments and to explore ways of adding to them in the future."
Notable recent developments for MENA Aerospace include the launching in Riyadh of MENA Private Aviation Services in January 2014, while June 2015 saw the official opening of the MENA Aerospace hangar complex at the airport by H.E. Kamal Bin Ahmed and Joint partnership with International Jet Management.
