Asia Jet opens new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as joint venture with Berjaya Corporation

Asia Jet, a leading provider of business aircraft services in Asia, today announced it has opened its first Malaysian sales and marketing office in Subang Int’l Airport, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Asia Jet recently engaged in a joint venture with listed entity Berjaya Corporation (BJCORP) through one of its subsidiary companies Berjaya Vacation Club Sdn Bhd to create Asia Jet Partners Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

“Operations have already commenced in earnest and the early signs from potential clients are very positive. They welcome an internationally award winning brand such as Asia Jet offering higher standards and more choice locally,” stated Asia Jet’s Stutijn van Till, director of business development, who joined Asia Jet earlier this year specifically to lead this project.

He recently relocated his family from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur to head up the sales office. He went on to say, “I previously was in the Middle East and African business aviation markets and Malaysia is geographically well placed to take advantage of its untapped potential both domestically and regionally using existing infrastructure. We wanted to be able to offer the SE Asia region our quality products and services that customers have become accustomed to when using Asia Jet. We plan to help the local authorities attract more investors and new entrants in time by showing how you can create a successful business model within the private aviation sector through strong local partnerships. I like how a company like Asia Jet has adapted to the local culture of doing business in the Asian region with a highly respected team of professionals. I am proud to be part of this continuing growth success story.”

“It’s been a long term goal of Asia Jet to expand its footprint across Asia with the right opportunity and of course the right timing. It’s always been a question of when and where, rather than how or what. Malaysia offers Asia Jet a lot of scope to expand our business. We want to proactively advocate the benefits of business aviation and how it can substantially help your business grow and enable efficiencies that didn’t exist before in a culturally safety conscious environment. Malaysia is truly Asia” said Mike Walsh ceo Asia Jet Partners Limited.
