Shell Aviation today announced strong year-on-year growth in its piston engine oil (PEO) sales for the first half of 2015, strengthening the position of AeroShell lubricants range as the best-selling piston engine oil in the world. In the first half of the year, Shell Aviation increased its global AeroShell PEO sales by 5.1 per cent.

Shell Aviation is spending more time with customers at key aviation events and using these platforms to support the general aviation community to have a better appreciation of their oil and to get more out of their products.
Shell Aviation's new marketing campaign for AeroShell, 'Fly Above the Rest', highlights the preference for this product range. Long term collaborations with OEMs allow Shell to test products in a number of different conditions for the benefit of customers. Through its long-term support for AeroShell Aerobatic and AeroSuperBatics Wingwalking Teams, Shell Aviation is also able to receive insights on how AeroShell oils function in the challenging conditions of acrobatic flying and use this input to advance knowledge of PEOs.
