Press Release
Issued by TAG Aviation.
September 23, 2015
TAG Aviation was the prime sponsor and a key guest speaker at AeroPodium's recent major conference entitled: 'Ready for New EASA Rules for Non-Commercial Operations?' which took place in Geneva earlier this month.
The conference, chaired by Joel Hencks, EASA regulatory expert from AeroEx, focused on the operational and practical aspects of this new regulation which comes into force in 2016. The regulation affects all owners of business jets. Capt. Russ Allchorne, vice president flight operations, TAG Aviation Europe addressed the delegates on the practical aspects of the implications of the new regulations, adding his expertise to highlight the importance of organisational set up, manuals and documentation.
“Essentially if an aircraft is not operated by a professional operator who has the necessary infrastructure in place, responsibility for the safe and proper operation of the aircraft defaults to the owner who must ensure that the aircraft is managed and leased to Aircraft Operating Certificate (AOC) standards” said Walter Stark, senior vice president aircraft management and client services, TAG Aviation, Europe. “Not knowing what the AOC standard is, will not protect owners or their advisors from their legal responsibility.”
TAG Aviation, which is one of the leading business aircraft management companies has been aware of these important impending rules for some time and having the necessary financial strength in place, has invested in the requisite systems, procedures and manuals to provide owners with an immediate solution.
Earlier this year TAG Aviation Europe held a number of industry round table meetings at Farnborough Airport which was attended by leading industry partners with a vested interest in NCC such as the regulator, aircraft manufacturers, banks, lawyers and insurance companies.
